How the comp works

• Anglers can commence fishing at 7.00am lalong the 45km waterway of the Edward River on Saturday, 19 February 2022 and cease fishing at 11am on Sunday, 20 February 2022.
• No Lines in water prior to the official start time Saturday, 19 February 2022 and all lines out of the water at the official finish time on Sunday, 20 February 2022.
• When you catch your target species simply lay the live fish with the nose in line with the “0” (zero) measurement on your brag mat.
• Photograph the fish so the entire length can be seen in the photograph along with your entry number.
• Only a fish caught by the registered angler can be entered.
• Any photograph that shows a fish not alive or damaged will not be accepted.
• Any photograph which has undergone digital manipulation will be disqualified.
• Follow the directions on the website to upload your photograph.
• All entries to be uploaded by 11am Sunday 20th February 2022.
• Any photographs uploaded after this time will not be accepted.
• If your photograph is damaged, blurry or the overall measurement of your fish is not clearly seen with your angler number the photograph will be disallowed.
• The winners will be announced back at headquarters from 12 noon.
• The Deni Fishing Classic committee’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Boat winners are required to be present at time of draw.

MEASURING SYSTEM

For all fish, take a photo on a brag matt with your phone or camera with your 2021 registration number clearly visible and then release the fish immediately at the place of capture.

Please refer to illustration below. Photos must be clear and include the whole fish. Photo must include your registration number. Catch must be returned to the water immediately as it is illegal to keep or hold a Murray Cod over 75cm in your live well or keep net.
